Cuenca series

There is a kind of playfulness and naivety in the old Spanish cities. I played with the lines, the forms and the watercolor, and imitated the typical pattern of the roofs with local newspaper cutouts. Now from a few year’s perspective, I see the time captured by newspaper clippings, just as the shapes and details of the houses preserves the traces of the past.
